Dr. P.C. Mathew

P.C. Mathew, a graduate in Physics from Madras Christian College, began his career in marketing computers. He felt God’s call for ministry and completed his theological studies (B.D) at Union Biblical Seminary, Pune. He pioneered two youth centers for the Mar Thoma Church in Karnataka and served as Youth Co- ordinator of the Diocese for 7 years. He moved on in obedience to God’s leading to pioneer and lead Urban India Ministries. Trained by Family Life, US in Family Ministry, he also has ample experience in counseling families. He is a well known Youth and Family Speaker and has been frequently invited by many churches for conferences and conventions. He has completed his Doctoral studies with Asbury Theological Seminary, Kentucky, US on Advanced Church Leadership and Biblical Preaching. His dissertation topic was ‘Lighted to lighten: A study of missional families in the city of Bangalore, India’.

          
           Message from the National Directors

Dear friends,

It’s such a joy to celebrate Gods faithfulness in leading UIM for the past 10 years. What started as a concern to help our own friends, has now grown to become a big tree. This tree has given shade and comfort to so many people in the past 10 years.

Our memory goes back to our beginnings and it amazes me to see how God is gracious to use even ordinary people like us to accomplish his purpose. What was just a dream has now became a reality and UIM has grown today as one of the largest family ministries in India with our branches in five states and also representations in Middle East, UK and US.

UIM has been raised by God for a time like this when families and marriages are breaking down in big numbers in our Country. As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of UIM, our desire is to see UIM become a greater blessing for many families in India and outside and to be a channel for the gospel in urban India.

We are so grateful to God for the staff team that God has given us without whom we would not have reached where we are today. God has used us as a team in spite of our imperfection and our inadequacies. He did not select us by our qualification, but qualified us through his selection. His love compels us to go ahead with perseverance enduring all the hardships that we have to face. Ciby and I feel humbled to be selected by God to lead this organization and we are grateful to God for His bountiful favor that He has bestowed on us to lead this mission. We want to sincerely thank all the friends, volunteers, staff, board members, well wishers and all whom God has used in the past and present to contribute to the birth and growth of this mission.

Please pray for UIM to be His voice for families in India. As God blessed Abraham to become a blessing to the families of the earth, we wish and pray that all families who have been associated with UIM will become a blessing to the families of the earth.
