As a non-profit Christian Ministry, UIM aims to carry out its mission through committed men and women, who share the passion for families and desire to partner with us in serving the emerging generation of urban India.

You Make It Happen

Volunteers are the backbone of any charitable organization and so also with Urban India Ministries. We appreciate anyone willing to give his or her time and energy to serve and carry out the God given mission to families in India.

Each event and activity is unique; therefore the need for volunteers may vary. This makes it possible for many volunteers to find a great way to give back.

Get Involved

Are you good in dealing with people? We need you! Does developing web content sound fun? How about planning and organizing a city wide conference?

Variety of opportunities exist in volunteering with UIM:

• Ushers for UIM Programs
• Physical Arrangements for UIM Programs
• Publicity for UIM Programs
• Lay leaders for young families
• Conference/Seminar planning and management
• Trained counselors
• Promotion and fund raising efforts

Central Voluntary Team (CVT)

The CVT consists of people from various denominational backgrounds. It is the thinking body consisting of people from the current urban society itself. The CVT assists the National Director in fulfilling the vision of the ministry at a National Level. The CVT serves the purpose to discuss, plan and assist in execution; pray for the programs of UIM and also discover methods to cater to urban realities.

Regional Executive Team (RET)

The RET is a team formed by the Regional Director to assist him in the ministerial functioning of the region. All RET members are Volunteers and well wishers of the ministry at the Regional Level.

The day-to day activities of each region is decided and executed by the ‘Regional Executive Team’ headed by the RET Coordinator. The RET facilitates UIM in achieving its objectives, by helping out in planning, implementation and being a resource for the various events planned by UIM from time to time.

Members of the RET in their individual capacity lead from the front in their respective areas through Bible Study, mentoring families, reaching out to churches etc furthering the objectives of UIM.

Area Executive Team (AET)

The Regional Director could have a similar set up at each area in his region. The volunteers at an area forms the Area Executive Team (AET)

Area Executive Team organize various family related events and programs in their respective areas. For instance, Mysore is the AET under the Hubli region. The AET members would be the active participants and organizers of all UIM programs in that area.
