This region is currently headed by Capt. Jose P. Oommen (retd.) and his wife, Mrs. Grissil Jose.

Karnataka
The headquarters of Karnataka is based in the Northern district of Hubli. The vision to reach the families in Karnataka was fulfilled by Dr. Jogul Johnson & Mrs. Prathibha who took the initiative to spearhead the ministry in Karnataka. They have been ably assisted by Mr. Anthony David. Along with the volunteers they are battling for families across Karnataka.

The Region has spread its wings in most of the major cities of Karnataka. Various programs have been conducted in Bidar, Chitaguppa, Belgaum, Hospet, Mangalore, Udupi, Mysore, Hubli, Dharwad and Brahmavar. They have reached out to married couples and young people through marriage and pre-marital seminars, home groups called the HomeBuilders and Trendsetters. They have also developed leadership by conducting a Leadership Training Program for families who have a burden for families.

A notable achievement of the team has been the conversion of all the English language resources into the local language, Kannada. So we now have all the training sessions and materials, including the HomeBuilder series in Kannada.

Kerala
The activities of UIM was launched in God s own country, Kerala in 2004. Since the launch we have had programs in different Churches, schools and Corporates. We do not have a representative of UIM in Kerala presently. We will continue with our activities once we find a couple who are passionate for families. Please do pray for this need.

Goa
In this coastal state we started our activities in 2007. Since that time we have been able to reach out to many families in different Churches. We also conducted a unique family seminar on a river cruise. It was the first such activity in the state and all the participants of the seminar expressed their awe and appreciation for conducting such a program. In Goa too, we do not have a representative currently. Please do pray for this need as we intend continuing to bless individuals and families through the work of UIM.

Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu
We have conducted a few programs in these states, but we have so far not concentrated on these states. It is our desire to identify families who will represent UIM in these states. Please pray for this need and also pray that we will be able to establish the ministry by mid-2011.

UIM presently works in three regions.

The first region is the National Headquarters region which includes Bangalore and its suburbs.

The second region is South which covers a large area and includes the states of Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka (other than Bangalore, Mysore, Tumkur, Kolar and Hosur), Kerala and Tamilnadu.

The third region covers the large business capital of India, Mumbai.
